You are the worst is an American comedy drama which basically tells about two freaky people trying to have a normal relationship that they used to reject. Gretchen is an agent for a group of hip-hop singers and Jimmy is a writer. They met on the wedding of Jimmy' ex girlfriend and started to build relationship. Lindsay is Gretchen' s best friend and she is a full-time housewife; Edgar is Jimmy' s roommate and he is a veteran who has PTSD. Both Jimmy and Gretchen are selfish, little anti-social and have commitment issues as well, they also have some habits that cannot be taken by people. But they tried to get well with each other and play it real. It is so moving when Jimmy stayed to comfort Gretchen because her depression relapsed in season 2. Due to some reasons i have not finished season 2 and i was told that they broke up in season 3, it seems that their relationship is still like the opening music ''i will leave you anyway". The good news is that there gonna be season 4 so we can expect what is going to happen next, well, you never know.
